Status Update #4

Our Turtle black seeds are looking very strong right now, and will probably keep growing based on the observations we've been making over the past weeks. The abiotic factors that keep our plants growing are temperature, the type of soil are plants are in, how much water they get, and the amount of light they're exposed to. The biotic factors that effect how are plants grow are if there are humans to water them, and earthworms or air rate the soil and fertilize it. Our plants are always in competition to get as much light as they can before other plants around them get tall and shadow them. Winners and losers are determined by who uses their resources the best to survive and the losers are the plants that are dead or very weak. Our plants are involved in parasitism, some of the bugs that live on our plants eat them and harm them. The bugs in this situation are the predators, and the plants are the prey. The plants are also a part of succession because the old plants that died became apart of the soil that the plants now use to prosper, but I do not know what type of succession they are in.
